The PXW-Z200 features an approximately 14.0-megapixel effective 1.0-type Exmor RS CMOS image sensor. Its stacked structure combines back-illuminated pixels with integrated signal-processing circuits for faster readout and improved low-light performance.
BIONZ XR image processing
The BIONZ XR image processor works with the Exmor RS sensor to provide higher frame rates, faster autofocus, improved Auto Tracing White Balance and enhanced noise reduction. 5K oversampling with full-pixel readout produces detailed 4K 3840 × 2160 60p video.
Advanced AI Processing Unit for next generation AF
The dedicated AI Processing Unit uses deep learning based on human form and posture data to recognise human subjects accurately. Combined with Fast Hybrid AF and approximately 81% coverage, it supports reliable Subject Recognition AF and Real-time Tracking across the frame.
Auto Framing
Auto Framing automatically tracks a recognised human subject and adjusts the composition to keep the subject prominently positioned. This is particularly useful for solo operators who want consistent framing without constantly monitoring the camera position.
4K 120fps for stunning slow-motion footage
The high-speed Exmor RS sensor enables 4K recording at up to 120fps and Full HD recording at up to 240fps. This allows 4x slow motion in 4K at 30p or 5x slow motion at 24p, with high-speed autofocus helping maintain focus on the subject.
Advanced image stabilisation
Built-in image stabilisation helps reduce the effects of camera shake. Active Mode combines optical and electronic stabilisation to produce smoother and more stable handheld footage.
Accurate LCD monitor and OLED viewfinder
The PXW-Z200 features a 3.5-type LCD monitor with approximately 2.76 million dots for clear monitoring and focusing. The monitor can swing up, down and backward to provide flexible viewing angles, while the supplied LCD hood can remain installed when the monitor is folded for storage.
