The C-80 is a unidirectional condenser microphone designed for a variety of home studio recording projects, including vocals, spoken word, acoustic guitar and piano.
Large capsule captures superior sound presence
The C-80 features the same diaphragm material as the C-800G tube condenser microphone and a capsule based on the high-resolution large capsule used in the C-100. Its characteristic peak around 13 kHz provides outstanding vocal presence while capturing the fullness of acoustic instruments.
Dual diaphragms reduce the proximity effect
The dual-diaphragm structure enables natural vocal and voice recording even when speaking or singing close to the microphone. A low-cut filter helps eliminate unwanted low-frequency noise, while the pad-switch function helps minimise distortion caused by excessive input sound.
